Bollywood’s romance with Switzerland began with Raj Kapoor’s Sangam and Shakti Samanta’s An Evening in Paris in the 60s, inspiring approximately 25 film settings each year amidst these mountain vistas. And then moving beyond the regular Swiss cheese, there was Hrithik coercing Amisha to say Kaho Na Pyaar Hai in New Zealand, while Aamir languished for his lady love in front of Sydney Opera House in Dil Chahta Hai. Credited for attracting an unprecedented numbers of Indian tourists to these locations, governments of several countries avidly court the Indian producers.
