‘How HR can be Change Catalyst’

A workshop on ‘How HR can be Change Catalyst’ was facilitated by Dr. Ashish Pandey, Assistant Professor in HR & OB, SJMSOM, IIT Mumbai and Ms. Uma Sundaram, HR & OD consultant. Using models of change such as Ken Wilbur’s quadrant and an interactive method, the workshop addressed questions like:

? To bring organisational change, what do I need to change in myself?

? HR cannot be a leader to bring about change, but can it not play the role of a facilitator and trainer?

? We can approach change in an organisation either as a guest, host or partner. Which one do you choose?

Mr. Prasad Phanasgoankar, entrepreneur and winner of Shiv Gaurav Puraskar, shared his life’s story in a special session on ‘Social Change through Personal Transformation’. Despite being confined to a wheelchair, Mr. Phanasgoankar went on to start his own rental vehicles business. He then designed a special wheelchair-accessible car.
