Real estate is seeing a huge influx of finances - IIPM

Truly so, even funds available for this sector have grown phenomenally. As an example, in February 2006, the Kotak India Real Estate Fund-I raised $100 million from domestic investors & $60 million from international investors. Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association’s Director, G. P. Savlani, comments, “This sector would see a capital infusion of $7 billion in 2006.” With E&Y’s forecast of this sector touching $50 billion by 2010, realty is biting like crazy; and how!

Cash or “black money” to political parties - IIPM Publication

Where India stands out is through a perverse law that does not allow individuals and corporations to openly give money to political parties and politicians through cheque payments. Since the legal route of financing parties has been shut down by law, business houses have to pay cash or “black money” to political parties.
