Breaking hearts, during her lifetime and beyond...



And a fairy tale it was! The sun kissed dome, the red carpet along the countless steps, a happy Queen and her rapturous subjects, the doe-eyed bride draped in innocence and silk, and her prince, her prince charming – her Prince Charles!


Travelling back in time, there I was amongst the thousands, one more nameless face in a faceless crowd, touched nevertheless by the royal gaze of ‘the Queen of Hearts’. On the Buckingham Palace balcony, as Princess and Prince sealed their vows with a kiss, the moment remained etched in time, and one could almost see the writing on the Palace wall “….and they lived happily ever after”.

‘IT’ IS THE EST THEY DID

With the unprecedented growth of India’s IT sector since economic reforms, the government of India on June 9, 2000, enacted the Information Technology Act in order to provide legal recognition to trade transactions carried out by means of electronic data interchange and other means of electronic communication. The act was passed by India after the adoption of Model Law on Electronic Commerce by United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in 1997, which recommended all states to give favourable consideration to the Model Law adopted in the resolution. Another happy twist in the happy story about the rise of Indian IT.
